| Mnium insigne, also known as Plagiomnium insigne, is a species that is endemic to western North America. It is nevertheless typical of all Mniaceae which are broad-leaved mosses with leaves varying from narrowly elliptic to almost circular. This is one of numerous specimens collected by the artist in British Columbia (Canada). | |||||||||||||
