Tetraplodon angustatus is one of the colourful
dung mosses. This species grows only on the droppings of carnivorous
mammals such as bear, wolf, etc. This specimen was part of a dense turf
collected by a friend from the edge of a bog near The Pas, Manitoba
(Canada). It has been collected across Ontario (Canada) from Renfrew and
Parry Sound north. |
